Well, it’s official: we’ve found the most expensive Sunday roast in London! Rotunda Bar and Restaurant in Kings Cross certainly didn’t skimp on the price tag for our meal, but unfortunately, the quality of the food didn’t quite match up.

While the roast itself was just average, the traditional trimmings were a bit of a disappointment. The carrots were overcooked and the roast potatoes were a bit soggy. On the plus side, the service was attentive and the decor of the restaurant had a nice vibe.

One thing that really threw us for a loop was the Sunday roast menu. It wasn’t clear what exactly was included in the meal, and we ended up paying for a bunch of extra sides that we didn’t really need. All in all, we ended up spending a whopping £110 for a fairly simple meal for two people.

Despite the hit to our wallets, we did enjoy the atmosphere at Rotunda. It’s just a shame that the food didn’t quite live up to the price tag. Maybe next time we’ll stick to a less expensive (but equally tasty) Sunday roast elsewhere.
